SCID Information database

SCID stands for "Shane's Chess Information Database". It is a chess database, developed exclusively for various operating systems like Linux, Windows and MAC. One can operate various functions on SCID. Some of them are mentioned below:

1. We can maintain database of the chess games.
2. We can produce and print reports on various techniques for opening and closing.
3. We can play against various chess engines worldwide on internet.
4. We can view graphical trends.

Also 'SCID help' is available in 13 different languages. So there isn't any difficulty even you are not aware of English.

  3. I found it! Thanks! It's on http://scid.sourceforge.net/ and can be downloaded for free. It's open source.

    But in Linux i think you must have Tcl/Tk (8.5 or newer is required) and a C++ compiler.

    I will test this software and give a review here, but I will do it later.

  4. Information is always important one to play any game properly, thanks for SCID for bringing it directly to our home with no efforts for us. It’s really a cool one that every chess lovers must be aware of it. It could be used to settle the queries about chess between friends.
