This chess case is of very fine quality and made up of a blend of very high quality resin with crushed marble. Furthermore, many inexpensive imitations were also made with usually artificial weighing. Original pieces of Isle of Lewis are placed in British museum. 1. The Lewis Chessmen are a really precious medieval chess pieces set. There are some pieces in the Royal Museum of Edinburgh, they probably came from Norway and were crafted in Trondheim at the 12th century. In 2007, a controversy about the most appropriate place for displaying the pieces, but i don't know what happened at the end.

This makes the player to feel more reality and brave, but the fact is original Lewis board is only one left in London museum. Other boards even don’t have traces, just the imitations are produced now days.
