Basic Checkmates- King and Rook vs. King

In this checkmate condition there are just one King and Rook of one side and only one king left from the opponent side. This mate takes longer to do than king and queen vs. king, because the king and rook have to work together to trap the opposing king on the edge (often in the corner). The most commonly taught technique involves confining the opposing king into a box using the rook, which is protected by its own king. Then, the box becomes smaller and smaller until the king is forced into the corner. Here the chances of Stalemate are quite less as compare to King and Queen vs. King condition of checkmate.

  1. This is one of the easiest and basic methods of winning a chess game. By using a Rook or both Rooks you can force the other player to retreat it king. But you must be very carrefull at the opponent's Queen because he can use it to block your Rooks. So I suggest that you should "take care " of the Queen first.

  2. This is one of the most interesting kinds of checkmate, cornering the opponent king with their king and here, the rook is going to take many skills. Since rook has some typical powers, using them is also needs a typical skill. Some persons rarely, love to have such kind of ending where both players must think hard for their end.

  3. You are talking about one of the basic techniques of winning in a game of Chess, but if you play with an expert player you won’t have chance of using them with success.

These techniques –I think- are exclusively for beginners games, because an more experienced player can detect that techniques and smash you.
